My friends LOVE going to the Bengals games and tailgating beforehand. You know what that means, though? Tailgating typically equals fatty burgers, hot dogs, dips, chips, and beer. If you are trying to achieve your goal weight, weekly parties certainly can be a hindrance to success. But, I'm sure you want to fit in with your friends. What can you do to still be social and celebrate? Bring a veggie or fruit tray so you have a healthy snack to munch on. In fact, Jenny Craig has a really low-cal fruit dip that you should try: 1 1/3 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup low-sugar orange marmalade, and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Other suggestions are to bring 100 calorie multi-grain sandwich thin bread, coupled with a turkey or veggie burger, or a 98% fat-free hot dog or veggie dog. Stick to just mustard and or ketchup and add on a ton of veggies to feel full. There's also a new beer if you like it (I, do not, but I know many do) Bud Select that is only 55 calories. These are all ways to ensure a lighter calorie filled event!
