If a patient has worn a lower denture for a long time, there will be a time when they can no longer function with a conventional denture. This is largely due to continued bone loss over time after their teeth were extracted. When this happens, patients can't eat a healthy diet such as fruits, vegetable and foods high in fiber. Also, in many instance, patient have to use denture adhesive in order to keep the teeth in which has been reported to cause neurological disorders. A simple solution is to have an implant dentist place as few as 2 implants with button-like snap attachments. A new lower prosthesis is fabricated with attachments that snap onto the implants eliminating the "JUMPING DENTURE". This simple minimally invasive procedure will stimulate the jawbone, hence, preventing further bone loss and gives patients renewed self confidence that they can eat healthy foods without the worry that their denture will fall out.
