Some people ask me how much my world has changed since I lost all the weight. How might YOUR life change?
First and foremost, I began feeling more confident about myself. It is so thrilling (and even a little addicting) to see the scale slowly begin to decrease. Remember how a few years ago sweater jackets that tied around the waist were in style? Well, I owned about every color and style of the sweater jacket I could possibly find! I was so glad this type of clothing was popular because it was such an easy way for me to hide my weight. I could easily tie the jacket around my stomach and hide some of the rolls. It is even MORE exciting to see clothes begin to hang off your body that once were snug. I went from a 14/16 - 0/2! As you lose weight you will need to buy more clothes and wow! - such a great feeling to visually see you have gone down a dress size! I now feel proud of my body instead of embarrassed.
I have always been a tired person but losing all the weight has definitely increased my energy level. This in turn, helps my mood because I am more inclined to be active which helps increase my endorphin level, therefore, making me feel good.
It has also improved my relationship with my husband. He loved me no matter what size I was but I felt happier. The confidence that I had acquired was evident when I was with him. As he always says, "I am happy when you are happy."
There are many positives to staying focused on a healthy diet and as long as you have the drive to do it...YOU WILL. Living a healthy lifestyle is better for the body and mind.
